12 Days of Giving – St Catherine’s Hospice
As part of this year’s Jellybean 12 Days of Giving, I have chosen to donate to and support St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley.
They are very special and an amazing charity that really do go above and beyond to look after the people in their care, and after a very dear and close friend of mine earlier this year was diagnosed with terminal cancer, she moved to St Catherine’s Hospice Crawley in late summer where she was given the support, love and care she needed for her final weeks of her beautiful life. Her family and I could really not thank them enough for what they do and the time and support they give the people in their care. They really did make the last days of her life as comfortable as possible, showing so much love and support, nothing was too much, not just to her but to the whole family.
Without Charities like St Catherine’s Hospice, the thought of those facing terminal illness alone and without the end-of-life care which they provide breaks my heart. The expert staff and nurses were always there to talk, show support and nothing was ever too much. Even the small things like getting their favourite food or drinks, playing music or just sitting with them looking out onto the lovely gardens, they were always there and showed so much love.
