Jellybean is proud to be the PR partner to the Quality Food Awards, supporting the prestigious awards programme with social media management, throughout key judging days and managing its press office throughout the campaign year. It was with absolute delight that we got to spend the evening, last Friday, at The Brewery, London, amongst the great and the good of the food and drink industry to celebrate the awards 40th anniversary, none more special to us than our lovely clients, two of whom were shortlisted for an award!

Tilda’s Brown & White Rice was shortlisted for the Foodservice Pasta, Rice and Grains Award whilst Aviko Sweet Potato Gratin was awarded with the Quality Foods Meal Accompaniment Award!

The evening began with bubbles as the industry gathered to find out the results of the Retail, Local Shop and Foodservice Award. On the menu to start was a beautiful take on the classic pork rillettes… game rillettes paired with crispy seaweed and duck skin crumbs. Followed by a sticky beef cheek with a slice of pink sirloin combined with a smooth, creamy mash and some seasonal vegetables. Finally, a dessert designed by Tom Gore, Food Director at The Brewery; a classic banana split accompanied by chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and coco sauce. Fabulous!

After the excitement of the awards and guest compère Sally Phillips it was time to move on to sample some tasty cocktails created and served by Mix and Muddle, who believe; “the cocktail barman counts for 50% of the success of any cocktail.” Well, they certainly impressed us! And just across the room from the cocktails stood a Sweet Tricycle with Pick ‘n’ Mix at the ready. The perfect way to celebrate our two clients’ Tilda and Aviko’s success!

Well done to the team at Metropolis International Group on a great event, we look forward to next year!
