The Jellybean Christmas party is the perfect opportunity for us to scrub up and don our finest ‘Glam Chic’ attire. It’s a much anticipated celebration for us beans and one which is firmly-fixed in our diaries. This year we visited Tuttons, a Covent Garden landmark in its own right, it’s a fantastic restaurant offering a menu full of classic English cuisine. With its warm red tones and modern interiors, we were lucky enough to enjoy this timeless establishment in one of their two stunning vault dining rooms, a perfect location for a festive celebration.

Our tasty menu consisted of the following (which you can see for yourself on our short video):

Beetroot Caraccio
Goat’s cheese mousse, pomegranate, hazelnuts, molasses & bread chips

Free Range Chicken Liver Pate
Pink peppercorn butter, quince & pearly onion preserve with toasted sourdough

Praw, Crab & Avocado Salad
Cucumber ribbon, cheert tomatoes & red pepper dressing

Pan Roasted Corn Fed Chicken
Crispy ham bon bon, sweet potato puree, green beans, caramelised pear & red wine sauce

Roast Salmon Trout
Pan fried gnocchi, sautéed spinach, sun dried tomatoes with sweet & sour fennel

Halloumi Orecchiette Pasta
Grilled halloumi, sun blushed tomatoes, olives, lemon & kale pesto with almonds

Open Wild Mushroom Ravioli
With creamed mushrooms, rocket & kale pistou

Sticky Toffee Pudding
Toffee sauce, bandy snap with vanilla ice cream

Dark & White Chocolate Brownie
Chocolate sauce & Dorset clotted cream

Passion Fruit & Vanilla Creme Brulee
Shortbread biscuit

In true Jellybean style we relished the wonderful food and drink and as the wine flowed so did the conversation (some of it not for public consumption). As ever the night flew by and sadly the evening soon came to an end as the Christmas season became nothing but a distant memory. It was a great way to get us through the dreaded January blues and we’re already looking forward to the 2018 festivities!
