Yes, yes and yes! And guess what, we even got sunshine!

Whilst thinking of ideas for what to get my boyfriend for his birthday, I came across a fantastic deal on Groupon which was very much up our street – cocktails and a Spanish platter on a rooftop bar in Trafalgar – Vista Bar, on the roof of the Hilton Trafalgar Hotel to be precise.

Booking our visit for a date in July so that we could guarantee (as much as you can in England!) good weather, I’m very happy to say that we got it! On a glorious sunny day, we made our way to the hotel and all I can say is, ‘wow’! From the moment we walked in we were impressed by the modern chic decor, and then we got the lift up to the bar where we were treated like royalty.

This is where the fun really began. We started off with piña coladas and then our platter came – a fantastic selection of cured ham, sliced chorizo, Manchego cheese, olives and fresh bread. To say we were happy with our food was an understatement; it was delicious and made the perfect snack for our boozy afternoon.

We then spent the rest of our time admiring the gorgeous view whilst sipping on a variety of cocktails from mojitos to my favourite, the ‘zombie’, a blend of four rums with pineapple juice, passion fruit juice and lime juice with a touch of grenadine – I would strongly recommend everyone to try it – not for the faint-hearted though!

All in all it was a fantastic experience which we will definitely be doing again – cheers to that!
