A Hattrick of Wins for jellybean Clients
After two years away The Caterer Supplier Awards returned in December to recognise hospitality’s most exciting manufacturers, producers, and suppliers.
The 2021 awards were even more crucial considering the pandemic and the challenges that our industry is facing. As well as providing operators with details on the essential products that could help their menus and business, the awards were also a celebration of the best foodservice manufacturers and suppliers who – despite facing their own trials during Covid – continued to innovate to support hospitality as it navigated the new normal and rebuild.
Hosted by the brilliant Managing Editor Lisa Jenkins, the awards went virtual for the very first-time, taking place with a Facebook Live Event. So, working from home (following the Government recommended guidelines) and armed with a glass of prosecco and our slippers, the beans were excited to see if any of our shortlisted clients, Hobart, Wrapmaster® (shortlisted three times) and Gold & Green® Foods had been selected by the prestigious judging panel of chefs and foodservice experts.
After helping to prepare the all-important entries last summer, we were thrilled that all three were chosen as winners and awarded the coveted Caterer trophy!
- Plant-Based Product of the Year – Gold&Green® Foods with their innovative Protein Flakes
- Light Equipment Product of the Year – Flexsil-Lid™ by Wrapmaster®
- Warewasher of the Year – Hobart, and the Two-Level Washer
Following the Christmas break, we were even more excited to return to work in January and The Caterer publish its awards supplement. Released on the 14th of January it’s essential reading on all the winners and their products. You can check out the supplement here.
Congratulations to all the winners and our fantastic trio, as well as The Caterer Event’s team who despite the uncertainty of the pandemic hosting a brilliant awards that gave us so much to celebrate – we can’t wait for the 2022 awards and to be together to recognise more suppliers and we hope a few of our own.
