Last night, the Hilton London Metropole played host to one of the most inspiring evenings in the foodservice calendar – the 2025 Public Sector Catering Awards! A packed room of industry professionals came together to celebrate the unsung heroes who keep our vital services running with passion, purpose, and phenomenal food. From care homes to hospitals, schools to prisons, and even our armed services these catering professionals are relied upon to keep our country running.

As a leading foodservice agency, we were of course there to celebrate alongside these amazing professionals from across the country. With seventeen hotly contested categories (including the newly introduced Prison Catering Award), the ceremony was a powerful showcase of talent and dedication. With everything from sustainability to marketing, innovation to teamwork celebrated, the evening offers those working in public sector catering much-needed recognition for their great work.

A highlight of the evening was the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Unilever Food Solutions. This year, the honour went to the brilliant Philip Shelley, a true champion of public sector catering and a driving force for positive change in the NHS and beyond.

From heartfelt speeches to joyous celebrations, the night was full of moments that reminded us why this sector is so special. The drinks flowed, the food was fabulous, and the company was excellent (you know who you are!). There was even an element of magic from our host Ben Hanlin, who kept the room captivated with his ‘whole room’ magic tricks.

A big thanks for Dewberry Redpoint for the invitation to celebrate the incredible individuals and organisations that make a real difference in our industry all whilst managing to raise an incredible £6,780 for The Clink Charity.
