Last night Jellybean attended another fabulous evening at the Cost Sector Catering Awards – not only celebrating the many fantastic people in our industry that were nominated for, and won awards, but also raising a glass to the team at Cost Sector Catering for seeing in the 25th anniversary of the CSC Awards.
Gyles Brandreth welcomed all the guests with his distinct, melodic voice and quick wit, making reference to many an in-joke, as well as eruditely paying tribute to the great work of the cost sector. After a delicious meal provided by the fantastic team at Hilton Metropole, Gyles took us through each of the awards as we applauded the deserving winners.
Amongst those that won on the night were Navy Petty Officer Scott Furber (Armed Services Award sponsored by Essential Cuisine) and CGC Event Caterers (Event/Stadia/Arena Award sponsored by Dr. Oetker Professional). Special congratulations must also go to Nick Vardis of Compass who won the Lifetime Achievement Award Contract Caterer, sponsored by Hobart Cooking Solutions and Julie Barker who took home the Lifetime Achievement Award Public Sector, sponsored by Hobart Warewash.
