Junior Account Manager

The Role

The role of Junior Account Manager requires an individual who is proactive, eager to learn, highly organized, self-motivated and a real team player. The successful applicant will work as part of the client services marcomms team, on a number of different clients within an existing account team, and will report directly to the Account Manager.

Responsibilities

To work with account team including director and exec, taking responsibility for entire client campaigns and delivering on exceptional levels of client service. The role will include:

  • Acting as a day to day point of contact for all clients
  • Take brief from client & challenge where appropriate
  • Brief studio on creative campaigns
  • Ensure profitability of clients
  • Planning and attending meetings
  • Assist AM in creating annual client plans
  • Presenting to existing and potential clients
  • Manage existing client growth/new business
  • Researching, planning and buying media
  • Report/reviews (or delegation of)
  • Proposal writing
  • Campaign implementation
  • Annual and ongoing budget planning
  • Copywriting
  • Estimating
  • Creating client time plans
  • Client media buying & planning
  • Develop industry contacts/relationships
  • Workshop planning and presenting
  • SOS presentations
  • Regular blogging
  • Social media engagement

The Candidate

The ideal candidate should be able to quickly fit into the agency and hit the ground running in the role. You should possess:

  1. Experience in a similar client facing and project management role with some proven success under your belt
  2. Exceptional organisational skills
  3. Excellent attention to detail
  4. Excellent copy writing skills
  5. Ability to work as part of a team
  6. Eagerness to learn
  7. Drive and motivation to progress
  8. Research and analytical skills
  9. Ability to use initiative to solve problems and think creatively
  10. Foodservice knowledge/experience desirable but not essential
