As a leading food and drink agency we’re rather partial to a classy cocktail (or three) as you may have seen from our World Cocktail Day blog. So last Friday, to mark our 35th anniversary, Fiona our CEO organised a cocktail making masterclass for all the beans. Held outside in glorious sunshine our mixologist Simeon founder and MD of Soul Stirrer greeted us with a deliciously sweet and sour jellybean cocktail ‘jellybean fizz’, complete with mini pack of jellybeans delicately clipped to the side (nice touch!).

Then it was time to get down to business as we made three fabulous jellybean-themed cocktails. The first was ‘Creative Crush’, a twist on a mojito with basil and lime – cold, refreshing and just the thing in the heat of the afternoon. Then it was onto ‘Foam Service’, Simeon’s take on a negroni, but with a showstopping orange foam – Instagram-tastic. Last but by no means least, was the ‘Nutty Bean’, an espresso martini only better, with a hint pf pistachio and the pièce de résistance – a jellybean logo in cocoa powder to add that wow factor.

It was a great team building activity and it is fair to say it oiled the wheels of the evening to come very successfully. As we stirred, shook (erotically according to some!) and sipped, we all learnt something new, whilst getting a little merry – well every day’s a school day and what better than a school day with booze. A big thank you to Simeon and his colleague who did a great job of managing the bawdy bean team and a big thank you to Fiona for organising.
