As you will know The Cateys is known as the Oscars of the hospitality world and plays host to those at the top of their game. As the leading foodservice agency we were delighted to join the team at The Caterer for a night of fabulous food from Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Exec Chef at Northcote, great compering from newly-wed Rachel Riley of Countdown fame and of course the awards themselves.

The Grosvenor House Hotel was the perfect setting and after a fabulous meal and big reveal of The Caterer’s new website proposition, it was time to get to the main event. Having spent the previous week in Padstow enjoying Paul Ainsworth’s amazing food (No. 6 , The Mariners & Rojanos) I had everything crossed for him to win the two awards he was up for, and even managed a quick chat with him and his wife Emma to wish them luck. As it turned out he didn’t need it, as he walked away with both the chef and independent restaurant Cateys – quite an achievement!

The full list of winners can be seen here including an International Outstanding Achievement Award for Francis Mallman, Special Award for Ken McCullock and Lifetime Achievement Award for Shaun Hill. It was, as ever, a fabulous night and thanks must go to The Caterer events team and the sponsors, including our lovely client Hobart, without whom there would be no Cateys. Well done to all the nominees and winners and the back and front of house teams and a big thank you to Adam, Rob and Cheryl at The Caterer for a wonderful night!
