Ever wondered what it’s like to work with the beans for a week? Well, it’s your lucky day, because I’m here to tell you about the experience I’ve had working at food marketing agency, Jellybean.

On my first day everyone was so friendly and welcoming, I even got a nice lick from little fluff-ball Whisky (who is literally the cutest dog I’ve ever seen).  They all seemed like a lovely bunch and when they weren’t busy, had a good laugh and gossip about pretty much anything.

Onto the actual work: I was really happy with what I was able to do. Before I came to Jellybean my friends told me “Oh, you’ll probably just be fetching tea and coffees, cleaning up and emptying the rubbish”, but that was not the case. They made me feel like I was part of a real business, doing jobs the others did and contributing to the work effort as a whole.

I got to do so many things: researching snippets, daily Instagram posts, mail merging, understanding and coding excel spreadsheets, researching the costs of advertising, proofing and so much more.

I even spent a day in the studio upstairs, and that was probably the highlight of my week. When I leave school, I’d like to go into the media industry and this was the perfect introduction for me. I got to design an advert for a show-reel that Jellybean wanted to make, and then I got to bring it to life by designing some of the frames on Photoshop and aligning a backing track to it.

Overall, it was a fantastic week and a very insightful experience into the world of work. Thanks for making this week an enjoyable and interesting one, its BEAN great.
