There’s nothing wrong with standing back once in a while and taking a bit of pride in your labours. After all, we Jellybeans are a proud people – we take great pride in our work, and, much like cigar-toting soldier of fortune, John “Hannibal” Smith, nothing makes us prouder than seeing a plan come together.

Of course, pangs of pride are not always exclusive to the work we carry out on behalf of our clients. Accolades including our most recent entry into the country’s top 50 B2B marketing agencies roster leave us silly with it. Last week was more of the same, following the news that Jellybean had been voted as a finalist in the prestigious Surrey Digital Awards for Best Use of Social Media for Business, in lieu of our class-leading Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The news was both marvellous and welcome, and stirred in us a sense of great local pride. Surrey is Jellybean’s county after all. With an accolade so close to home, it’s academic: this one’s for the hood.

Now in their third year, the Surrey Digital Awards reward innovation and progressive thinking by businesses, individuals, events, charities or educational establishments. Previous winners span several industries and range from individuals to national companies, but all have at the core of their entry a desire to use digital media as a means to achieve greater things for their business.

With that, we now look ahead to the 9th March 2017 where an ultimate winner will be revealed during a very special presentation in Woking. The field is replete with pedigree but we remain confident that our innovative, insightful and fun social media accounts, through which we have built a loyal and highly engaged following, will stand up against the best.

Check them out here and here when you get a chance.

Good luck to our fellow finalists. We’re proud to be in your company.
