Here at Jellybean we’re always looking for healthy snacks, so when we heard about SourcedBox we rushed to give it a go!

Founded by YouTubers Marcus Butler and Niomi Smart, SourcedBox is a snacking service designed to work wonders on your well-being. Where supermarket shelves are stacked high with sugary snacks, the brands included in SourcedBox contain natural ingredients free from refined sugars and additives.

Our first box arrived with much anticipation. Filled to the brim with snacks suited to the colder weather, from Stoats multigrain porridge to super-food hot chocolate from Brontie & Co and everything in between, we knew were in for a treat.

Now I must admit I’m not usually a healthy snacker. I’ve got a stash of Time Out chocolate bars in the fridge and plenty of other goodies in my desk. That being said I was intrigued to see whether I could be tempted to put down the chocolate and pick up a healthier option.

Personally I thought there was a tad too much coconut in the box – I wasn’t a fan of the Coconut Milk & Vanilla drink as it was too watery for me and the Slightly Peppered Coconut Curls were a miss as well.

While the box wasn’t all fun and games, there were a few stand-out favourites. The raw cacao bar from LoveChock was simply divine, as were the Apple Crisps from Spare Fruit. Who knew air dried apple could be so delicious?

Perhaps the most impressive result of this subscription box was that I didn’t pick up a chocolate bar once during the whole week. It was great fun testing out new products and the healthy snacks definitely kept me feeing full throughout the day.

Will I purchase December’s box? The answer is undoubtedly yes. Fingers crossed for slightly less coconut in the next one though!
