When it comes to fundraising events, blending good food, good wine and good company with a generous smattering of sporting celebs is a clear recipe for success. The annual Hospitality Action Sporting Legends Luncheon took place on Friday 7th of October at the Lancaster London and as a loyal supporter of the charity and the leading foodservice marketing agency we were of course there. Joined by some of our lovely clients we gathered at the drinks reception where the beans could be found propping up the bar whilst scoping out the gathering sporting celebrities.

Then it was onto the main event to enjoy a fabulous lunch from the team at the Lancaster, along with some quick interviews with the attendant celebs, as Mark Jones navigated the room chatting to the likes of Tracy Edwards, Gail Emms, Mark Foster (pictured), Robbie George, Matthew Hoggard and Dereck Redmond. After lunch it was onto the charity auction and after dinner speech from Phil ‘The Cat’ Tufnell who kept the room in stitches with tales of his antics on the England cricket squad.

The day was enjoyed by all and managed to raise over a staggering £50,000! A great event for a great cause, we look forward to next year’s and continuing to support the wonderful work Penny, Astrid and the team at HA do for those in need in the meantime.
