Everyone who knows me when told about my new role as a Junior Account Executive at Jellybean said that it must be my ideal job. And it really is!
I’ve had a love of food and cooking most of my life. I was the 14 year old girl excitedly clutching her ‘The Return of the Naked Chef’ cookbook and waiting in line at a book signing to get Jamie Oliver’s scribble (still one of my most prized possessions!). My passion for food still goes on today from cooking, baking, bread making, and trying all sorts of restaurants.
I come to Jellybean from a digital background, predominantly involved in web development but also having developed my skills in copywriting and social media. Having wanted to move to a marketing agency for a while, the job at Jellybean came along at the perfect time where I was looking to relocate, and searching for a new and exciting challenge.
The first week in a new job can be nerve-wracking, but I was made to feel instantly comfortable working here, a feeling that has continued. A thoroughly lovely team, the ‘beans’ have been very welcoming.
My first week has largely involved learning! I was lucky enough to go on a Horizons workshop on my second day here which was a fantastic opportunity to learn about foodservice as a whole (an industry that is all new to me despite my food obsession) and learn about each sector and its trends and challenges. Although a lot of information to take in, it certainly was a valuable starting point.
It has been an inspiring week to work alongside the beans, taking in as much as I can and seeing how everyone works. With so much creative flair and expertise under one roof, I look forward to learning more from the team and collaborating on exciting projects in the future.
