Anyone who lives in or has ever visited Horsham in Sussex will know just how many restaurants there are, and each time another restaurant opens (which is pretty often) I’m always keen to try it out!
Lemongrass opened in May, and serves authentic Thai cuisine from their grade 2 listed building along the Bishopric in Horsham. After my step-dad raving to me about the Penang Curry, I was excited to sample it for myself… and I was not disappointed.
Myself and two friends decided to treat ourselves to an early week meal out, but with one of us being a vegetarian, it can sometimes make finding a restaurant that has a good choice of vegetarian dishes a bit of a challenge. However, at Lemongrass I’m delighted to report that this was not the case!
The menu has a vast selection of vegetable and seafood dishes, meaning there was a culinary delight for everyone, but which also meant we all struggled to pick just one dish. Between us we tucked into a Chicken Penang Curry, a Vegetable Penang Curry and a Ginger and Beef Phad Khing – all served with deliciously sticky Jasmine rice. The verdict – mouth-watering!
I would definitely recommend Lemongrass to fellow ‘Horshamers’, but also to anyone who likes Thai food, especially vegetarians wanting plenty of choice from a menu. As well as the fantastic food, the service was great so I’m already planning my next visit and studying the menu for what to try next!
