Casual Dining Show

Food and Drink PR - Casual Dining ShowThis week saw the Business Design Centre play host to the first ever Casual Dining Show. Brought to us by the people behind Lunch! this boutique trade exhibition does exactly what it says on the tin. Targeted at the casual dining sector the show aims to bring together buyers and suppliers, groups and independents, from the world of casual dining. From our broad base of clients we had four exhibiting at the show (Aviko, Essential Cuisine, McCormick’s and Yorkshire Tea). As a result the past few weeks have seen Jellybean HQ a hive of activity in the run up to the show, ensuring our clients attended the show fully armed to sell to those all-important buyers. From social media, to promo staff, exhibition design to literature, Jellybean set the wheels in motion to ensure the smooth running of the event for our clients.

On the first day of the show Aviko sponsored a round table discussion on-site, with movers and shakers from the industry gathered to debate key issues faced by operators. Horizon’s Nicola Knight also gave an overview of key sector dynamics  to set the scene for the mornings discussions. The round table itself was hosted by Tristan O’Hana, Group Editor at H20 and provided invaluable insights and the opportunity to meet key players face to face.  To read for yourself what these industry gurus had to say you’ll have to subscribe to their new Casual Dining magazine due to launch in time for Hotelympia, or just pick one up at Hotelympia at the H20 stand.

As for the show itself the smaller venue seemed to buzz and with our clients handing out everything from fries to tea their stands were never short of visitors. Of course the real results of the show will come to roost in the coming weeks and months, as hopefully exhibitors including our clients see the fruits of their labours convert from show leads to new orders and new clients. Of course if they have followed our top ten tips for exhibiting they will doubtlessly stand a better chance than others! But as the curtain comes down on the Casual Dining Show our thoughts turn to the big show in the Hospitality calendar Hotelympia which will be upon us at the end of April and as their PR agency, preparations for the show are already well underway.
