Last weekend I found myself in the beautiful city of Prague, a place I have always wanted to visit and one I can safely say did not disappoint.
The streets were paved with markets and glistening lights on the run up to Christmas – the ‘official’ Christmas markets hadn’t even started yet! Lined with stalls offering an array of local delights from mulled wine to goulash and even Utopenci (pickled sausages), the streets of Prague had plenty of food on offer!
For dinner we found ourselves in the wild and wacky La Casa Argentina, bringing a wonderful slice of Argentina to life in the heart of Prague! We were immediately enticed by the atmosphere and with its unusual decor and world famous steak, what more can you ask for? How about a random tank of Piranha’s or a monkey enclosure… only in Prague!
Home to a huge selection of bars that specialise in beer, Prague offers a vast variety of top-notch brews which of course go down very well with their famous home-made potato chips!
A place I would most definitely go back to, Prague has left a lasting impression (as well as a two day hangover and a full stomach) and is a destination which should be on everyone’s ‘bucket list’!
Remember you find some of the best places in Prague when you’re lost – so don’t be afraid to take a wander off the beaten track.
Next city stop for me… Brussels
