From William Shakespeare to JK Rowling, Sir Bruce Forsyth to Sir Chris Hoy, the Hospitality Action 2013 annual quiz celebrated the very best of all things British!
Taking place at The Emirates Stadium, this fantastic event proved to be a massive success raising an amazing £60,000! Guests were welcomed with a drinks reception, followed by a delicious three-course meal, along with the opportunity to bid on some very exclusive lots in the charity auction. Prizes included a cabaret evening of dinner and dancing for four at The Ritz, a round of golf for four people at Stoke Park Golf Club and four tickets in the Delaware North Suite at The Emirates Stadium for a Premier League fixture including full hospitality
The main event was the Great British Quiz, which tested the best minds in foodservice on subjects ranging from “What came first, Marmite or Golden Spread?” to “How many match points did Andy Murray miss in Sunday’s Wimbledon final?”. The Jellybeans, along with friends from Pinguin Foods and Foodnet, did us proud placing in the top half of the table. But at the end of the night, despite fierce competition, no one could outdo the guys on the James Bond table who were crowned victorious.
All in all a great night, Julie and I were proud to help out at such a fantastic event, a huge thanks to HA for planning everything to perfection and putting so much hard work into the evening, which is for such an amazing cause.
