The show for the out of home market, it has been a great success, with highlights such as the Hot Talent competition and the highly coveted Innovation Awards drawing further interest across the industry. Journalists flocked to the show keen to see what was on offer, and our busy press office was at the centre of the action! Press releases, on-stand interviews, social media and journalist briefings – the Jellybean PR machine has been running full throttle, not only supporting the show but clients too – Pritchitts, Hobart and Tilda.
But it hasn’t all been work, work, work as they say…
Monday night saw the long awaited Big Event open its curtains to reveal a stunning array of entertainment and cuisine. From Rory Bremner to Phantom of the Opera and the musical stylings of the Chance band, the night went with a bang and certainly lived up to its name! As the design partner for the event it was great to see the branding and brochure come together for the night, after much hard work from Jellybeans Jen and Katie (well done!). Most importantly though, the auctions and games raised valuable funds for both charities, Springboard and Hospitality Action, who, along with Fresh Montgomery and the team of sponsors, masterminded the event and worked hard to deliver a night to remember.
No sooner did the hangovers subside from Monday evening, than Tuesday saw Cater and Hotelkeeper host a fabulous dinner at the Plateau Restaurant by Canary Wharf. Swiftly followed by last night’s infamous Dewberry Redpoint Hotelympia party – the Olympic-themed ‘Hotelympics’. Jellybean were on top form for this fancy dress extravaganza – two synchronised swimmers (complete with nose clips & fetching flowery swimming hats – one being my good self!), a black-belted Judo player and a dressage rider headed to the 02 to dance the night away as guests of Fresh Montgomery, and what a night we had! With performances from Robbie Williams, Michael Bublé (tribute acts) and the Pièce de résistance, an arcade ski machine! (On which I managed to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against a number of Dewberry Redpoint employees, including our host for the evening – sorry Andrew!). All in all, a great night!
So, as the end of the week approaches and the stands are taken down, it’s time to rest our weary feet and look to the Hotelympia review features!
