What was your favourite subject at school?
Photography and English Literature.

What was your best subject at school?

What was your first-ever job?
First ever job was a milk round age 10 followed by the paper round right afterwards.

What was your worst ever job? Either stuffing envelopes as a holiday job at college, or working as labourer building houses – I have never been so utterly exhausted at the end of a day as when I spent it endlessly barrowing sand and bricks uphill.

What was the first music single you bought?
How I wish this could have been a cooler record. It was ‘19’ by Paul Hardcastle. Middle England’s response to the conflict in Vietnam.

What is the most entrepreneurial thing you have ever done?
Organise charity gigs at school featuring my band and bands from neighbouring schools. We raised quite literally, tens of pounds for the homeless.

What’s the funniest thing you have ever done to a work colleague?
Replaced their telephone handset with a banana. Too hard to properly explain here. But it was funny. Honest.

What is your motto in life?
‘Along the way, take time to smell the flowers.’ No matter what you are doing, always try and find something enjoyable or interesting about it. The quote is from the back of a Grateful Dead LP, man.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be?
4 day working week. Please.

What’s your favourite movie and why?
Impossible question to answer. Just too many. The Godfather, Delicatessen, The Sweet and Lowdown, O Brother Where Art Though, Belleville Rendez Vous, The Great Dictator, Shot in the Dark, Clockwork Orange. Perhaps The Godfather as it reminds me of Bank Holiday’s as a kid watching seemingly endless films on the sofa with Mum.

If you could pick a celebrity to join the agency who would it be and why?
Maybe John Cleese. He’s a great exponent of creativity, a great mentor for creatives and a Python to boot.

What luxury would you have on your desert island?
Radio 4.

What animal best reflects your personality and why?
A donkey. Hard working, loyal, ugly.

If you could be anybody in the world (alive or dead) who would you be and why?
Oh God, I dunno. Maybe Lou Reed? I’d love to have lived through late 60’s New York. Warhol’s Factory, Max’s Kansas City, working with Bowie, Iggy Pop, The Velvets. I would hope to be cheerier than he is now though.
