The food was absolutely fantastic – we started with pumpkin soup, served in individual baby pumpkins (see pic), followed by buttered corn-on-the-cob which we had to eat without cob forks (Gregg was very strict about that!!) then for main course we thoroughly enjoyed confit of duck with green tomato chutney, late summer vegetables and had it topped off with bramble apple crumble and custard! And lest I forget we also had a very enjoyable glass of Prosecco as well!
The fresh produce had been picked on the day from Gregg’s Secretts Farm in Surrey, who also supply a number of well know London Restaurants as well as pick-your-own and home deliveries.
Gregg was very engaging and took a Q&A in between courses from the guests.
We also had the chance to win a Sumo Pumpkin (see pic) if we could guess it’s weight! I tried to lift it but could barely raise it from the table!!! Thankfully I got it slightly wrong so didn’t have to get it home on the train!
Anyone interested in an evening with “Pudding Face” won’t be disappointed!
