Jellybean Spring on Board at the Bateaux Bash

On Tuesday Fiona and I were lucky enough to attend Springboard Bateaux Bash in celebration of 10 years of their Future Chef Competition. Having worked with Springboard to market and design the brochure and communications for the evening, as part of our charity work, it was great to see everything come together so well (including the commemorative brochure which was signed by all the celebrities involved!!).  In association with Sodexo, who hosted the evening, the 120 guests were treated to a 4 course gourmet meal  prepared by celeb chefs including Cyrus Todiwala, Chris Galvin and Graham Hornigold (from the Mandarin Oriental). They were joined by Ben Dutson Head Chef at the Bateaux London along with Future Chef Alumni, and managed to produce a memorable meal to accompany the fabulous views of London as we sailed along the Thames.

 

Compèred by David Mulcahy, Craft & Food Development Director Sodexo UK & Ireland and rugby star Matt Dawson Ambassador for Sodexo, the evening managed to raise over £11,500 to help support the up and coming 2011 Future Chef Competition which attracts nearly 8,000 young and aspiring chefs! With Land of Hope and Glory ringing in our ears and the Houses of Parliament in front of us, it was an evening to remember and for once any staggering at the end of the night could be put down to the gentle swaying of the boat, rather than too many glasses of wine!
